Hot Air Balloon Strikes Our School's Roof During Fiesta
As part of the excitement at the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, one of the hot air balloons unexpectedly collided with our school’s roof after takeoff. Capture of the moment, circulated widely on social media, shows the balloon grazing the school building - an event that took us all by surprise and has become the talk of the town.
The incident occurred on Friday morning, August 8th 2025, during the first mass ascent of the festival. While the balloon clipped the roof but it landed safely after and no injuries were reported. The incident caused some minor damage to the roof tiles, which are being repaired
