For parents/ carers with children in year R,1 or 2 who DO NOT GET FREE SCHOOL MEALS

Dear parent or carer,
Change in Universal Infant Free School Meals Provision
On the 31st March, the government announced a new national voucher scheme for families who qualify for Free School Meal. This means we are no longer funded to provide provision to children who receive Universal Infant Free School Meals. So sorry but you will not get vouchers anymore for your child.
We will provide vouchers for the week of the 6th and 13th April – these will come as one voucher of £30 for the two weeks.
We do know that because of the Corona-virus people’s work is changing and this may mean that you may be able to now apply for Free School Meals and we can then register you for vouchers.
To get the vouchers your family needs to be receiving any of the following:
· Income Support
· income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
· income-related Employment and Support Allowance
· support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
· the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
· Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
· Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
· Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
You need to send photographic evidence to the academy via email of receiving any of the above- we will then be able to advise whether we can register you for vouchers.
