Volunteering

We are so very lucky to have a dedicated team of Readers who volunteer their time every week.  They provide additional reading support and help with comprehension.

We would like to introduce Claire Pitchers, who has been with us for TEN YEARS!  Clare is part of Counterslip Baptist Church who has raised money for Oasis Academy Connaught through their Bible Class.  The money was raised for toys and games.  Claire has come into school on a regular basis to read with our children.  She along with other professionals have been trained to be Better Rading Partners which is funded by the Council.

We are also very lucky to have a group of Lawyers who also give up their time to come into school to read with our children.  Their company 'Foot Anstey' are committed to supporting our community and we are extremely grateful for that support.

We also encourage work experience students to come along to Oasis Academy Connaught.  They also play a very important role in our school life.   It provides students an insight into school life.

Our parents are equally supportive by volunteering on school trips and outings.
